When the temperature drops to sub-zero, wrap yourself in the warmest of garments: a long hooded cardigan. Dilaila’s Hoodie is named after one of the sheep the wool came from.
This warm thigh-length cardigan is knitted in three colors of a rustic aran-weight wool. The yoke is worked in reverse stockinette in one-row stripes with raglan and V-neck increases made on the wrong (stockinette) side. Waist shaping gives a subtle hourglass curve while gentle A-line increases ensure the cardigan fits comfortably around the hips. The cardigan is finished with a striped hood in reverse stockinette and deep welt pockets. A ribbed button band frames the entire front edge.
The pattern is written with both metric and US terminology, giving only written instructions. The pattern includes a step-by-step photo tutorial for making the welt pockets.
