Printempo is an ode to my favorite season, spring. Like the first shoots of spring, tiny leaflets growing on narrow tendrils arise from the toe up the leg. In between, lattices of twisted stitches twine around each other, reaching up for the growing light.
The socks are knitted from the toe up in the round. The pattern features a gusset-and-flap heel construction that doesn’t require picking up stitches. The twisted-stitch pattern is foot hugging, giving a comfortable fit on a wide range of foot sizes. Right and left socks are identical and can be worked two-at-a-time. Both written and charted instructions are given for the stitch patterns.
