For the Doctor Who dishcloth recipient, I also sewed a project bag using this amazing fox fabric! I’ve used the same tutorial before with success – must post pictures of those bags some time.

What new knitting books are coming out this fall? From four books devoted to sock knitting to cozy patterns inspired by the great outdoors and travel, there’s plenty to look forward to. This season also brings two practical guides for fixing, mending, and restoring knitwear. Here’s a look at the new knitting books arriving in fall 2026, with highlights from each title and a peek at what’s inside.

Over the Morrow and Far Away

Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 Knitting Trends

I've combed through the DROPS Fall/Winter 2026–27 design collections to pick out five key trends to watch in the coming months: back-to-basics designs, decorative full-fashioned shaping, diamond and lattice cables, the return of colorwork yokes, and an abundance of blue.
