A friend of mine works in a yarn store and is always coming up with beautiful shawl designs, like the Meadow Grass I got to test knit. This is one of hers as well.

I took this with me as a travel knitting project when we were visiting friends and family over Christmas and New Years. I worked in the shawl mostly in the car when there was enough light – and even when there wasn’t. It wasn’t until I got home and blocked the shawl that I realized I’d accidentally bought yarn from two different dye lots! You’d think it wouldn’t matter in an undyed yarn but it does. I know where the change happens even if it isn’t obvious in these photos.

This was my go-to shawl this past winter when it was minus 20 C outside. Super warm and cozy!
