Swing Revival

Here are the full specs:

Swing Revival is a two-color crescent-shaped shawl. Alternating wedges of stockinette and garter stitch swing from side to side, creating two halves with very distinct looks. The shawl is worked top-down and finished with a simple lace border accented with garter stitch.

The pattern is written with both metric and US terminology. Both written and charted instructions are given for the lace border.

Yarn

  • Isager Spinni handpainted by Wollsinn (300 m/50 g) or Isager Spinni (300 m/50g) or similar lace-weight yarn.

  • Color A for stockinette: 1 skein (300 m / 328 yd) in colorway Bordeaux

  • Color B for garter stitch and lace: 1 skein (300 m / 328 yd) in colorway Schiefer


Needles

  • 4.0 mm (US size 6) long circular needle (80 or 100 cm / 32” or 40”) or size needed to obtain gauge.


Gauge

  • 18 sts x 33 rows = 10 cm / 4” in stockinette, blocked


Finished Dimensions

  • Approx. 215 cm by 45 cm / 7’ 1” by 17½”


Techniques Used The pattern requires knowledge of knitted cast-on and German short rows. A photo tutorial for German short rows is included in the back of the pattern. Ability to work lace from a chart is recommended but written instructions are also provided for the lace border.
