Tour de Fleece 2012 - Day 21

It’s amazing what a bit of wiping down and oiling can do. The wheel is running smoothly and silently again.

However, plying the Flamingo singles is the most frustrating plying experience I’ve ever had. In some places, the singles are so underspun that they disintegrate just by looking at them. At one time, both singles broke at the same spot and I lost the end of the yarn within the bobbin. The tape trick or brushing against the grain didn’t work – the end was so deep buried. Wasted a half an hour just looking for it. Sigh.

Today’s podcasts were episodes 62 and 63 of Spin Control and episode 17 of The Knitmore Girls. Total plying time 1 hour 55 minutes… with plenty still to go.
