And I'm free, free fallin'...
The holidays can be a stressful time for anyone but especially for a knitter who has taken on the task of knitting Christmas gifts for their loved ones. By the third week of December you start fantasizing about all other knits that are much more appealing but you certainly shouldn't be knitting. The yarn stash starts calling your name, begging to be wound onto cakes. Maybe if I just cast on the stitches but nothing more... If I just knit one row or two, that wouldn't hurt anyone...
Sound familiar?
When all the presents have been wrapped and you can finally have a moment to yourself, cast on something relaxing, bright, and fun! Here's my little Christmas gift to you: a free cowl pattern, Free Falling.
Free Falling is a multi-color cowl with lots of different textures and stitch patterns. Play with colors, stripes, textures, and lace to knit the cowl you love. Use the stitch patterns provided or riff off with your own creations.
This pattern is ideal for scraps, leftovers, samples, mini skeins, half skeins, gradient sets, unicorn tails, or yarn advent calendars. Use those special fingering-weight yarns that are too precious to knit into socks, like merino singles or glittery sock yarns.
The pattern includes two types of instructions. With the round-by-round instructions you can knit the sample cowl, exactly as pictured, using the stitch patterns given in the pattern.
Or you can use the cowl recipe to knit a freestyle cowl, using as many colors as you want and the stitch patterns you love. Choose from the stitch patterns suggested in the pattern or find others you like: from your favorite shawl or sweater, or knit in stripes, or just plain stockinette.
Free Falling is free for my mailing list subscribers! Join my mailing list before the end of the year 2017 and I'll send you a coupon code to use in my Ravelry store (seizure warning). The pattern is also available on Payhip and LoveCrafts.
Just a couple of more days til Christmas! You can make it!
